PLANNING ADVICE

How to book trains, flights and ferries in Thailand

Stations, piers, luggage and combined tickets: practical checks before payment.

Before searching for tickets

Write down origin, destination, date and available buffer. Compare the full accommodation-to-accommodation journey: terminals and piers can be far from the place in the ticket title. With separate bookings, plan for delays without assuming the next operator will wait.

Booking a train on the official portal

Open SRT D-Ticket, select the language and search stations and date. Compare available trains, class and seat or berth type. Enter traveller details as on the document, review the summary and read terms before payment. Download the actual ticket and follow presentation instructions: a bank receipt is not a travel ticket. If a train is missing, check the station and booking window before assuming it is sold out.

Ferry only or combined ticket?

Compare departure pier, arrival pier and check-in time. A combined ticket may include a van and boat, but verify every leg and meeting point. Do not assume transport to your hotel is included. Save confirmation, operator contact and change terms, then recheck notices before leaving your accommodation.

Flights and connections

Check the airport code on every leg, especially in Bangkok. Compare the final price with your actual luggage and fare terms. Between a ferry and flight, or separate flight tickets, allow time for disruption and transfers: flight duration alone does not describe the travel day.

After payment

Verify names, dates, stations or piers and passenger count. Keep tickets, vouchers and instructions offline; if an intermediary still needs to confirm a seat, do not treat it as assigned. Bookings, changes and refunds are handled with the seller under its terms: our platform organises the route and does not issue these tickets.
