Thailand TDAC: how to submit the free official arrival card
When to submit TDAC, what information to prepare and how to keep your confirmation. A practical guide to preparing your arrival declaration.
Open the free official TDAC portal ↗
What it is and who needs it
TDAC is an arrival declaration, separate from a visa. Non-Thai nationals entering Thailand should check this requirement for land and sea arrivals too. Immigration Bureau exceptions include transit without passing immigration. TDAC confirmation alone does not authorise a stay: passport and entry eligibility remain separate checks.
When to submit and what it costs
Follow the official FAQ window: within three days before arrival, including arrival day. Count from arrival in Thailand rather than departure from your home country. Submission on the Immigration Bureau portal is free. If payment is requested, check the domain before entering information: a private service is not the official portal.
Before opening the form
Prepare your passport, dates, arrival transport, first accommodation address and email. Keep the requested stay and travel-history information available: a health section may appear depending on the journey. Complete fields in English. Recheck automatically retrieved passport information too.
From the form to confirmation
Open Arrival Card, enter personal, journey and accommodation details, complete the requested information and review before submitting. Download the confirmation and keep an offline copy. For a group, check each traveller’s individual details. We do not collect or submit the declaration: submission takes place on the official portal.
If details change or the email does not arrive
For corrections, open Update Arrival Card and follow the current instructions: not every field can be edited. This guide does not replace immigration assistance. If the QR email is missing, the FAQ directs travellers to the officer at the entry checkpoint. Consult the linked manual and FAQ before travel, especially for a case beyond a standard tourist arrival.
