PLANNING ADVICE

How to plan a trip to Thailand

Areas, interests, stops and transfers: a practical way to build your own Thailand trip.

Start with what you want to experience

Before choosing hotels, write down three experiences you want to remember: beach days, villages, temples, food or nature. You do not need to see everything. A list of famous sights can turn into more travel than enjoyment. In the platform, choose areas on the map and your interests, then request a route or pick your own stops from relevant results.

Count the days you actually have

Arrival day is not always a full day. Note flight times, the journey to your accommodation and your final departure. Add transfers between bases before adding visits. Start with a small number of bases and a flexible day. When adding a destination, decide which existing day you are giving up.

Choose bases before daily visits

Your route determines where you sleep; activities determine how you spend each day. Make these decisions separately. Group Bangkok visits by neighbourhood, allow time for northern excursions and decide how long to stay at one beach base. Check location, duration and opening times before adding a place. An evening market does not belong automatically in the morning.

A plan you can change

After creating a draft, add or remove activities, check maps and review your budget. Keep a final version to follow day by day. We, Rocco and Tui, built this tool to turn our knowledge of Thailand into practical decisions. Your preferences are the starting point, rather than one route for everybody.
